Why do I need this Behavior
Intervention Plan product?

Do you need to write a behavior intervention plan for a
student, but aren’t entirely confident about the process? This product contains
everything you need to write a quality behavior intervention plan, and it comes
with way more than just BIP Examples.

Your
purchase of Behavior Intervention Plan Templates includes:

  • Two editable behavior intervention plan
templates, one with an embedded fidelity check section and one without.
  • The Components of a Behavior Intervention Plan;
an 18-page document explaining how to write a BIP, outlining each of the
    necessary components of a BIP.
  • BIP samples/BIP examples for each component of
    behavior intervention plan.

What is behavior intervention plan?

Before writing a behavior intervention plan (BIP), you need
to complete a functional behavior assessment (FBA).

A functional behavior assessment is used to identify and
clearly define the problem behaviors that are interfering with a student’s
ability to be successful in school. Data is collected and the function of the
behavior is determined (i.e. Why do they keep doing that?). Once the FBA is
completed, it is time to write a BIP.

A well-written behavior intervention plan will put into
place strategies and procedures to help improve or eliminate problem behaviors.

What are the components of a behavior intervention plan?

Your BIP must include:

  • Target/Problem Behaviors
  • Summary/Functional Hypothesis
  • Functionally Equivalent Alternative/Replacement
    Behaviors
  • Proactive Strategies/Antecedent Manipulations
  • Educative Strategies/Instructional Procedures
  • Reinforcement Procedures
  • Correction/Extinction Procedures
  • Crisis Plan
  • Implementation/Training/Resources
  • Data Collection/Plan Monitoring

If you aren’t sure what any of
these components are or how to complete them, then this Behavior Intervention
Plan is for you! The Components of a Behavior Intervention Plan document will
walk you through and offer examples along the way.
