Item description

Students learn how to:

  • add the pen tools extension,
  • make a sprite follow their mouse,
  • draw with a sprite,
  • program a sprite to independently draw shapes and geometric patterns.

The editable PowerPoint includes short embedded videos that demonstrate what the student program should be doing at certain points, and it ends with directions for a culminating activity for students to demonstrate their learning. There is also a rubric for the activity. Screenshots are from Scratch 3.0.

Coding across the curriculum? This would be a great computer lesson to incorporate into a math class, especially a geometry lesson about angles!
