These graphing templates could be used with any point sheet
you prefer, but are designed to be used with my variety of themed points sheets

Why should I graph student behavior?

Most of the time we think of behavior graphs as being useful
to adults in parent conferences, IEP meetings, or when writing progress
reports.

But have you considered the visual impact of sharing a
student’s behavior graph with them on a regular basis and letting them also see
how they are doing? Letting them see their progress can really help increase
student motivation.

And really, we all know that the best behavior interventions
happen with the student, nad not just to them, right?

How to use Point Sheet for Behavior- Graphing

Enter the student’s goal for the day, as well as what they
actually earned into your chosen spreadsheet (again, either tracking points
earned or percentages). This allows you to track both the goal and earned data
side-by-side as you slowly increase your expectations. It will also show you
clearly if your goal is too high and needs to be taken down a step or two.

As your data is entered into the spreadsheet, a graph will
automatically be created or continued, leaving you with professional-looking
graphs to help you monitor the student’s behavior and response to
interventions.

Add Phase Lines to Your Graph

To increase the usefulness of your graph, consider using
phase lines. Add a phase line to the graph when changes occur (medication,
class, living situation, etc.). Over time you will be able to use this
information to help determine the potential causes of behavioral difficulties
or potential reasons for behavior improvement.

Graphs with phase lines can be especially helpful when
working with students who have a Behavior Intervention Plan, as they help you
determine the effectiveness of your interventions. You will find instructions
on how to use phase lines included in your purchase.

Note

The graph would work in Excel or Google Sheets, but you must
use Excel if you want to enter phase lines, as Google Sheets does not have this
feature.
